A car boot sale is a community market where people sell second-hand belongings, usually from tables beside their cars. Indoor tabletop sales have a similar idea, under a roof.
Before you load the car
Check the organiser’s current date, seller arrival time, pitch fee and booking requirements. Ask whether tables are supplied and what you’re allowed to sell. Arrangements vary by venue.
Pack for the whole morning
Bring a table if needed, price labels, change, bags, a drink and suitable clothing. Keep valuables and money close. Tell someone where you’re going.
Give yourself time
Seller entry is often earlier than buyer entry. Check the actual entrance and queue arrangements rather than relying only on a postcode. Follow the organiser’s instructions while setting up and leaving.
Check once more before you leave
Weather, ground conditions and other events can change the plan. An indoor venue can also cancel. Follow the latest dated organiser update.
